Because we had some spare time here in Chiloe, we decided to take a day off and ride a bus out to the Chiloe National Park. We enjoyed hiking the shorter trails, one which led us through a Tepual forest (basically thick vegetation!) and one which led us to a spectacular view of the Pacific.
One thing we’ve noticed here in Chile is how many locals are out traveling as well. We have seen as many (if not more) Chileans with backpacks as people from other countries. This was something we almost never saw in Central America, and we attribute it to the much stronger economy here in Chile. We love being alongside the locals in our travels!
